GIUNCA CINESE PIRATA SCALE 1:100 BY AMATI. Just starting this kit has anyone built it. The instructions are not too good but the parts are nice, the kit is a little small for me but I like the boat.

Instead of laying the decking down on at a time I lined them up and taped together then spread gorilla glue on the back and lain it on the sub deck when dry I cut the notches for the frames.

Today I received the san Francisco hull section kit the instructions look very nice as do the parts. The only thing so Farsi the planking, it is very thin so I may replace it. When I figure out how to add pictures I will.

Even below the water line natural wood?

Did the San Francisco have any paint on the hull or was it just natural wood, I see a lot of galleons were colorful but can't find any of the San Francisco

Thanks for all the replies, I think I will try the boiling water trick for now

I am building the revel 1\96 Spanish galleon, wondering what is the best way to fix the spars, they are warped. I guess I could heat them but wondering if there is a better way, any ideas?
-
1/96revell Spanish galleon I think is one of the best revell ship kits, I started this build a little ways into the build because I was enjoying this so much I forgot to take pictures. I can say that so far up to this point everything went along with no major problems. The parts fit was very good, some of the masts and spars are a little warped yet to be fixed when I figure out the best way to do it. Since thus is not a scale of any real ship I chose to do my own colors simplified . The kit is missing two canon halves so I will need to try to make them. The pictures are so far into the build.

Has anyone had any exp. with this kit, I have built the victory hull section and it was so so just wondering how the San Francisco hull section kit is.
