Complete.  Thanks to Chuck for providing us all with this great kit.  I look forward to my Pinnace.

Usually I will remove paint prior to gluing.  However, for the channels I did not and attached them using CA (Zap-A-Gap) Brand.

Your off to a nice start but I would't count on a page of instructions a day though. As you get into it you will slow right down as the building gets more complex. Look and see how long some of the build logs run for with expierenced builders. Good luck and have fun.

Been making some of the fittings. The kit supplies photo etched harpoons & lances. Also copper wire to solder them to.

Does anyone here know any household liquids to blacken em with ?

The oars are simpler to make. I used poplar from H. Depot.

Now the compass was furnished with the kit but not the C. rose. I hope my home made rose doesn't get the boat steerer lost.

    Still a way to go.

    Some photo etched brass parts:

I organized the blocks, deadeyes, and bulls eyes in these small containers:

For the wood strips, I used these plastic golf bag tubes that I got from my father. I had originally planned to use these to organize all the extra wood strips I had in the workshop, but I had to go to something that could handle more strips, which you can see in the picture after this one. I was pretty amazed that the strips just in this kit filled up these tubes.

What I use now to organize my wood supply in the shop:
