rigging yards

Hi a questions about the rigging of the main/fore lower course yards  (brig syren )

There is a block where the sling is ( sling cleats) 

Is this rigged be side the sling or is this one of all?

The sling attaches the block to the yard...... on my Syren.

I think I did find it out ,

a sling on the yard , this wil be atatch to a bigger sling from the tristletree 

then a rope is run true the blocks opp around the tree true som mor blocks
