I've notice on some FA build logs that modelers have detailed the ships wheel. Can anyone offer advice, photos, details on how to create the authentic wheel mechanism?

Here are some drawings from Mondfeld.

The illustrations are for a double wheel, but you should be able to adapt the design for a single wheel..
