At one point you say that you apply dyes over a coat of cyanoacrylate glue. I have never heard of doing this before. It seems like the cyanoacrylate would prevent the dye from being able to penetrate to the wood and color it. Are you actually able to dye the cyanoacrylate coat? The CA glue helps create an even tone. I found that if I dye the wood straight, without applying CA first, the wooden looks "dirty" - the dye is uneven. The CA prevents the dye from penetrating the wood, yes. But this achieves a more even tone and "cleaner" finish. This method is used in the furniture industry, though there they use, for large surfaces, sealants. For smaller surfaces, CA does the same job, but is less toxic.
