I just noticed that the Eskader shop is celebrating their 90:th anniversary and are selling out a lot of old kits. If you are looking for something special it might be of interest (does not know if they ship outside Sweden, but it may be worth to try)

Not meaning to rain on their parade, but a lot of what they are offering are old OOP kits or older versions of current kits, and the sale prices will give some people sticker shock. Their Kate Cory kit, for example is listed for $420 at the current exchange rate. But, as you said, there are some kits listed that may be difficult to find elsewhere at any price -- the old Model Shipways Forrester kit is one example.

Agreed. There are some "oldies but goodies" listed there, but I wouldn't advise anybody who's not familiar with scratch-building to tackle any of those old kits. They're all of the classic "plans and a box of sticks and string" type. Today's kit modeler familiar with today's state of the art kits would likely be quite shocked at the primitive nature of these kits.
