Hi all

In the process of building my first ever wooden kit model, Golden Hind by Occre.

Having trouble figuring out how to laterally bend the second veneer layer of planks. Have researched some jigs etc on YouTube but failed to replicate them with any success.

Advice or ideas appreciated.

Cheers

Mark

Hi and welcome to MSW!

Did you try this method shown in the video below? Maybe veneer is a bit more difficult to bend laterally then something a bit thicker, but it's definitely worth trying. Also the other video's in this Youtube account are worth watching.

I have built two Occre ships with the 0.6 mm second layer material, I wish you the best of luck trying to bend the material laterally, but I haven’t seen anyone pull it off successfully on the forum.

if you figure out a method that works please post about it.  A lot of users would be interested.   Good luck.
