Ok so I did have a build log up here before the forums changeover.

So here it is again lol.

This model is the old one and by old I mead around 15years old.   I have had it stored for a long time.

so I will throw up the photos.

The biggest problem I have with this model is most of the cast parts have become brittle and broken.

So I have had to make some parts from scratch.

And this is one of the parts I had to make the Mississippi name plate.

made a balsa spacer for the post spacing lol.

This model did not come with any doors for the lower room so I made some.

The lower hand rail is also scratch built.

rear top deck seat and flag.

Congratulations Paul, the boat came out very nice. It will make a great display.

You also have a beautiful work area, nice and bright. Are you going to start another ship model?

I have another AL model ship its the Le Hussard/1848 I have made a start on the hull but its been sitting around for a long time perhaps just as long as the king of the Mississippi as I purchased them both at the same time.
