Hmas Vendetta (1)

1/350 Showcase models Hmas/Hmas Vendetta (1), as built in 1917 and handed to the RAN in 1925, first ship pretty much OOB apart from the paravane set up on the stern which I corrected, the final configuration in 1945 with lots of insanely detailed  Micro Master fittings and a few  Black Cat Models bits.

Wow this is really special; two time frames of the same subject on the same base. Very creative. And they are both such stunners. The paint/finish is subtle and incredibly realistic. Even without any close up photos you can tell the details must be superb.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
