Hi Folks!
Who said that scatter cushions need to be neatly arranged? Bah Humbug, I say! Majellan has a multitude of various sized cushions on the entertainment and recreation areas of the decks, e.g. the large settees at the rear of the Bridge Deck and the settees surrounding the front of the spa on the Sun Deck. In order to give that "lived in" impression, I just scattered them haphazardly; some on the deck itself, a couple on the spa and the rest placed in no particular order, or pattern.
I hope you like the effect!

thanks Gerhard and Patrick.......thanks also for the likes I got a chance to do the primer work on the stairs.
now that the railing is done, I can pull the structure back off to do a few more things before the color goes on. I want to get the cap railings on the bulwarks, before the hull gets painted. better weather is here........I should have more free time tomorrow.

Thanks for all of your comments and Likes - greatly appreciated.
Tonight I've had heaps of fun building a few more chairs in the main saloon and the bridge deck's lounge area. In order to bring the whole ship to life, I added a whole series of colourful scatter cushions to them.

Hi Folks
Here's a shot of Majellan in all her finery. There's still a bucket load of more work to go, but at least you can start to get a sense of what's she's like inside. The ship's tender and her two jet skis are also on display, having been removed from the tender garage at the stern.

Hi everyone
Another quick update. I've done a bit work on the paintwork. As I hope you can see from the glint off the hull and superstructure in some of the photos, I'm slowly achieving that glass smooth and shiny finish that I'm after. I'll just need a few more (dust free) coats before I'll be happy with it. Only then, can I return to detailing the interior.
I've also had some fun doing the four large umbrellas which are situated on the Sun Deck, i.e. two at the rear of the deck and the remaining two are over the spa. Oh, and the twin radar domes are also done.

Hi folks
Just a quick update. I've been adding a few more of the deck furniture details (e.g. outdoor bar on the Sun Deck, blue coloured plastic to simulate the water effect in the spa, a few more tables and settees, etc); all at the expense of working on the overall paintwork. The continuation of the painting and finishing will just have to come later!
Please remember that very little of any of these details are actually glued in place yet, hence why their placement may look a bit wonky wonky .

Hi everyone
Majellan's progress continues along, slowly. I have been painting the superstructure, rubbing down in-between coats. You'd be hard pressed to notice, though; judging by the close up photos. Admittedly, the lighting and the accumulation of the dust from recent sanding, etc does tend to show-up in the close-up photos. I swear that she looks good from 10 metres away (LOL).
Anyhow, as you can see from the photos, I've done the staircases connecting the main deck, bridge deck and the sun deck. I've also done a bit more work on some of the deck furniture, e.g. large settees on the aft of the bridge deck and the settee on the aft of the main deck.
Lots of fun stuff to go, including continuing to improve on the paint job!

What about doing a superstructure similar to the big trawler model you are currently building? That would look good on this ship as well in my opinion.

Hi everyone and thanks for all of your Likes, especially Elijah, Greg, Nils and Denis for their most recent compliments.
So far, I've managed to do a bit more work on the fit-out of Majellan's Bridge-deck lounge, as you'll see from some of the photos. While it may not be immediately obvious from the photos, I've also started to do some of the Bridge Deck's deck furniture that'll sit on the deck; namely a curved settee with black cushions as well as the large white lounges at the very aft of the deck, upon which all the beautiful girls are supposed to be sunning themselves!
Still heaps of work to go. Nothing's glued in yet. In fact, I've hardly paid much attention to the paintwork at all. One day, I'll get around to finishing the sanding and puttying! One day...

Hi everyone
I hope you're all well. Just a short, but quick update. I've started on the construction of the Bridge decks interior accommodation. In particular, although you can't see it clearly, is the Bridge Deck's control console. The steering wheel will be added later. There's also a drink's bar amidship, together with other assorted items, e.g. the round coffee table.

Hi everyone and thanks for all of your comments and Likes!
Just a quick update. The fit-out of Magellan's main deck's accommodation continues. However, this time, I've jumped around again and started work on fitting out the main saloon. Whilst it's still very early days, the galley now has some more cupboards added as well as a fridge. Nothing's glued down yet, so it still looks pretty rough, but you've gotta start somewhere.
Sadly, I still haven't found the TV remote...
