guys i need some help, clarification or knowledge for the kit.  i am at the point to start applying the Photo etched parts and i really have no idea what i'm doing.  its a solid sheet of brass with the PE on it.  the parts that are raised have a bluish color on it. the million dollar question is do i cut out the windows in the frames and the frames and just use them? also how do you get the bluish tint off the parts you keep? Any help would be appreciated.  TY

I've had the same problem with the last couple of kits i built.  I now have plank bending plyers in my tool box, they work great

guys i need some information,  i am building this kit named above. i am to the assembly instructions on installing the photo etched parts sheet.  its a solid square section with the parts etched into it.

my question is how do you use this stuff?  do i cute out all the window squares and the frame outlines the cg glue them down? and if so the parts that i keep look like they have blue material over them.  do i scrape the parts clean then attach them   

The instruction sheets and plans really don't explain it. i would appreciate any help i could get

fantastic work as always, i visited her on Oct 7, 2015 took hundreds of pics, she is in the new paint scheme now, will take a little to get use to it but overall one great ship to visit,  she is undergoing rework and repairs the guide told me its going to take about 12 years

I've built several wooden ship kits and one scratch built   can i start build logs on each one as i have pics to show the progress?

I will be visiting the HMS Victory in October i have a whole day to explore her. Your build is an outstanding piece of master craftsmanship.  looking forward to you next installment with great anticipation.     

im finishing this kit up now, into the rigging stage and i had the same problem as you on the frames up forward  ill post pics later as im still skiddish about putting stuff on this sight, 

this going to be interesting  cant wait for updates

the 1/48 victory is an after retirement project i still have to build several kits before that,  almost finished with a Spanish galleon for a family member

im just getting all the resources i can together. I will be visiting the Victory in October this year and lots of detail pics will be taken, at least where they will let me take them.     thanks again  

this is a master piece of workmanship, love it so far  

looking for a good set of plans of the HMS Victory 1/48 scale  i have the book by John Mckay but i would rather have full size sheets if available
