    Thanks Joe, I'm excited to get the hull a point where it looks more like a PT Boat. We have many very fine model builders in our club (Hampton Roads Ship Model Society), with that said it brings a high level of expectation from fellow members, needless to say it will be slow meticulous for me especially because it's my first large build. Ive completed small kits like the Rainbow and the 10" Sea Coast Mortar and have built many plastic kits over the years.     Greetings, This is a rebuild of my first build lost after the server crash, as luck would have it I only lost a few photos. Over the next day or two I'll be adding the photos along with a short write up for each. I welcome any comments, because this is my first major build and the first as an on-line build. Thanks, Tim

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal.
