    Hello all - I am new to this forum, but not new to building various models. I poked around different companies who sell wooden ships (for newbies) and someone from Sergal called me suggesting the "Achilles 1812 Pilot Cutter Ship Model Kit - Sergal (794)" . I have not started it as I need some supplies. Clamps for sure...but I really dont know what else I need. The gentleman suggested steaming the planks, but, I am in need of reading ideas, advice, and such from this website. I live in New Jersey and I am 58. With this crazy virus shutting down most places, it seems I have time to figure out what I need for the build. I hope everyone is safe and healthy, and I look forward to comments and reading up on "newbie" builds. I am amazed at the photos on here..some really magnificent builds. Thanks !! Al
