I've been stranded here many times, always looking for news from model making. From today I am finally part of the Model Ship World forum.

Until my English is a little better, the Google translator should help me here.

    So excuse my writing style.

The model building has been my companion for many years with interruptions.

A new start in 2005 in historic sailing ship model construction came to an end with the construction stop of HMS Victory by Sergal.

Not satisfied with the kit model, I have been building a simple fishing boat for 6 years to improve my material and tool skills. I look forward to a good time with all of you in the exchange of knowledge and practice. I already know some names here and I really like what I saw as a guest.

    see you soon Matthias

    Welcome Matthias!

Don't worry for your writing Style. Wir können auch auf Deutsch kommunizieren. Regards from Spain! :)

    Hi Miguel,

Perhaps the best thing you can do is start a new thread in "Discussions for Ships' Plans and Project Research. General Research on Specific vessels and Ship Types", asking if anyone can help provide plans for your model. Perhaps someone has already made this model and still has the plans, and can supply them to you.

    Good luck with it.

Thank you Steven! ALready done, let's see :)

    Miquel, warm welcome to MSW.
As for your username, if you have issue of changes, please reach out to any of us moderators through a pm with username.
We can change it for you.
As for Dannebrog, I have drawn a blank in the search online to find any instructions.
Although I am surprised that BB didn't have any records left.

I found that one of members back in 2010 did a build of Dannebrog, unfortunate we suffered a huge server crash in 2013 where we lost majority of data.

thank you NIrvana for your answer! I'm not sure to understand what you mean by reach you out through a pm with username. Do I have to addrees you per mail o through another procedure? thank you!

Welcome to Model Ship World Miguel.  You can change your display name by going into account settings and clicking "change" on the Display Name line.  Settings is located in the drop down menu under your display name in the upper right hand corner of this page.  I hope someone finds the instructions for your model.

Thank you Ryland!  I followed your instructions but regrettably the following message appeared "You are not allowed to change your display name right now as only members who have submitted 100 content items, etc. can change their username - you need to make 97 more" so I'm afraid I have to wait until I can change my name. Thank you anyway!

  5. Hi all!

I am a new member here, writing from Spain (Europe). My name is Miguel, although you will see my name as "Dannebrog Mod from Biiling" (this is a clear evidence of my lack of experience with computer tecnology...hopefully I will be able to change the name soon).

I have a large experience in wooden race ship model construction. I will be delighted to share my exprience with you if you want/need it.

Currently I'm faced with the ship construction of the Dannebrog model of Billing boats. This model has more tan 40 years. It  is in excelent conditions with its corresponding accesories. I would highly appreciate to contact someone of this club (which I was refered to from other european clubs) in order to get access to the building instructions from the Billing brand for this model (Dannebrog). The manufacturer in Denmark (who I already contacted) does not longer have the instructions due to the age "seniority" of the model. I would be very thankful if someone could help me out with my start with this model.

Happy to join this forum! Thank you in advance.

  6. Dear Modelshipworld Crew.
I write You from Spain - Europe:

For many, many years ago I received as a gift from my wife the nr 410** 1: 100 scale model of the Dannebrog boat built by Billing Boats. (DK)
The passing of time and the transfer of my home several times in these years, has possibly led to the BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS of this precious model being lost to me.
I would like to contact you to ask please if your office or any of its associated members know or have mentioned and old construction instructions for this Dannebrog exemplar.
The boat is about to be built and would like to obtain such information so that it is consistent with the performance of its representative finish.
If the mentioned instructions have a price, we could agree to the payment of these as requested.
To contact me, my mail: miguelasmir@gmail.com
    Yours faithfully
    Miguel  Asmir from Spain (Europe)
