Hi all! First of all: a very Merry Christmas to you all!! Second: thx for all the likes and nice commends. Finally a small update. Because of some circumstances I didn't have much time to work on my Aggy. Still futtock staves and caterpins done. I also started with the ratlines which will take some weeks. Some pictures....

@Joe, Thx Joe for your kind words @Elijha, Thx Elijha, about your questions: look at page 1, #18: enlarge the pictures of the guns and you have your answer (if this is what you mean). @Mirabell61 Thx, you are very kind. I really love doing the rigging of this ship. Next thing to do is fixing the futtock staves.... And my Christmastree and all the Christmasdecrations in my front- and backyard.... So I will be quit busy the next 2-3 weeks :D Hennie

Thx Scott for your kind words . I will always try to magnify my pictures when there could be questions how its done or where exactly a rope is going to or where it is fixed. In this way I learned very much from other builders. Hennie

At last, after 6 weeks an update.... I did some roping on the main mast. I am really satisfied how the snake looks (my first time). I have decided that I will use black rope for the ratlines. Ratlines of natural rope are almost invisible against a white wall. And they say you have to blacken the ratlines with Indian Ink! The only reason they advice using natural rope is that black rope is a lot stiffer. Well, I use black rope (0.25mm) of Morope and this rope isn't stiffer as I found out. Some pictures...

@W.Joe @Scott @Elijah Thx for your nice words. About the painting: of course its a reproduction. Cant afford the real one :D Dont know the artist but whats more important, the ship on the right is the HMS Agamemnon fighting against a French ship. I recognized the soldiers on the stern :) Hennie

@Sjors I know you only give comment and pls keep doing that in the future ;) I saw that the Stays of the main mast and the stays of the fore mast have two seizes. 2.0 and 2.5mm. I think 2.5 is a bit overdone. When I visited you and Anja in Bleiswijk, I saw you used the 2.5mm rope to fix the Closed Heart blocks of the main stay to the bowsprit and you used the 2mm rope for the stays and that looked really nice! I decided I wil use the 2mm for the main and fore mast stay and the 1.5mm rope for the main preventor and the fore mast preventor stay. I already ordered some 1.5mm rope at Morope. Got a mail back he is on a vacation to Sweden and he will send me the rope within 2 weeks . So when I finished the shrouds and the main stay, I will have to do something else. Well, I will start to do some ratlines of the mizzen mast and main mast... :) So no chance to get bored :D Hennie

@Sjors, Thx Sjors, About the deadeyes: I know what you mean, but I just did what they said: 12mm for the 3mm and 5mm deadeyes and 15mm for the 7mm deadeyes. And for the 7mm deadeyes I already took 18mm. I googled many building sides and discovered that it is just what you like most. I am quit satisfied, the way it looks now. Hennie

Hi all, thx for all the likes! :) Time again for an update. I finished the shrouds, stay and crowsfeet of the Mizzen Mast. Finishing the stay took the whole day!! I had to redo the stay 4 times because I was not satisfied with the mouse and now I am :D . I did the serving manual because I dont have such a nice machine like Sjors has :D I did that three times because the first and the second time it looked ugly. I also had to redo the crowsfeet, but this time only once. I discovered that when I wanted to finish it, I had three holes left on the left side and only one on the right side   . Stupid me. Next time better counting Some pictures:

@Sjors, Thx for trusting me doing that rigging all by myself :D But I still hope you will soon be able to restart the rigging of your Aggy. @ETNZ, You are wright about the planking. The looks of the first planking is not important, the second and partial third planking is. And a great part of the second planking has to be coppered. Small update: Tomorrow I will start with the shrouds of the mizzen mast.... I did some rigging at the Bow Sprit, some pictures....

@Bob @Sjors @Piet Thank you all for your kind commends. I toke a couple of days to study all the drawings. I just started with these tackle pendants. Btw Sjors, did you already solve the problems with your Aggy? When are you going to start rigging again?? I always used your pictures as an example and It will take me 1-2 month to get to the point where you are now, so come on and start again ;) Hennie

And an upgrade again! The moment I have been waiting for a long time! All the masts are in there place and I am very happy it showed up that they are in line (if I use the right words). So tomorrow I will start RIGGING :) Reading all the advice Sjors got from you all, I will work as follows: First I will start doing some rigging on the Bow Sprit. Than I will start with the mizzen shrouds and mizzen lanyards, followed by the mizzen stay, snake and crowsfeet, than the same with the main and the foremast. When I finished that I will start with the shrouds and lanyards of the mizzen top mast, main top mast and fore top mast. Than I will do the rest of the stays and I will finish with tying ratlines to the shrouds. I think working in this order the ropes will be less in my way. Of course if someone has better ideas, pls let me know. I am always willing to learn ;) Some pictures...
