  1. Hi Bob, that's very kind of you, I appreciate it. But these only have one connection for the tow rope. I had the same thought, as they are available almost everywhere. But then I need more of them, as it would only make sense to design a whole row differently. If I were to choose this option, I would actually go for a smaller size. So it would also make technical sense why the one type would then be pulled with only one rope instead of two. Greetings my dear Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
  2. Hello lovelies, I am currently working on the Victory from Corel. Unfortunately, some of the gun hatches are missing or defective. These parts are no longer available in Germany, as the kit is already forty years old. They are no longer produced according to Corel. That's what I was told on the phone. So I would like to ask all of you out there to see if you still have some lying around in your drawers. I'm talking about the 10x11mm hatches with two hinges. Greetings from the Palatinate Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
  3. I don't like the golden Rope from Corel, So i made my own.
  4. This Gold Parts are not realy nice. So i took the Presswoodparts and stained with Oak.
  5. Right Side of the Bug is ready. Another Problem, there are not enough Port lid post. I only find it available in Italy, but 22 Euro to send.
  6. Hello lovelies, first of all a big thank you to Harlekin for the encouraging comment. Firstly, it's nice that someone else thinks this way, and secondly, that someone has already built the same kit. As life goes, it came at just the right moment. Two problems have arisen, one minor and the other actually serious. I classed the mistake of not sanding a curve towards the bow after planking as minor. But as you can see, this could be rectified. More serious, because it can't be repaired, is the fact that I had to realise that I was probably building the Vasa when I fitted the figurehead. The port side is considerably higher at the front corner of the upper deck than the starboard side. Changing this would mean rebuilding the hull, which to be honest I'm not prepared to do. So I started with the crane beams. Remains fresh Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
  7. The last days i begin with the Beakhead Platform . I don't take the pressed wood from Corel.
  8. This parts are not long anough. So i made it with walnut.
  9. achso , forgot to mention I covered the false keel with deadwood to make it a bit more stylish.
  10. Hello lovelies, here is the news again. I have finished the second planking above the bark timbers. There were problems at the bottom. Unfortunately, I started tapering too late and too hesitantly, which is why the mouldings started to take an S-curve and bulge. So I decided to leave the original and continue from the keel upwards. While the mouldings were drying on the hull before they were glued, the gun ports were made with a cutter knife and file. Which brings us to the next problem, because I measured them incorrectly and unfortunately everything is now 1.5mm too high. This can no longer be changed. A Corel structure like this is not quite as simple as I thought. It seems to me that this is going to be a disaster. But to be honest, that doesn't bother me either, because it makes the learning curve steeper than ever. I'm also not one of those people who would tear everything down again just to iron out the one or two millimetres. It has to look nice in the end and be fun to build until then. This kit doesn't emphasise attention to detail anyway, so I'll go along with the developer and build a creative version. Somewhere in the history I found a date on which the Victory sailed into the harbour from a Baltic Sea voyage totally dilapidated and warped. This will also be the date of my depiction, so we can be flexible. Stay healthy Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
  11. Hey, I think I've found the problem. I enter texts on my PC and pictures on my mobile phone. and I never paid attention to it on my mobile phone, but when editing, the translated text appears, which I then fatally edit unintentionally. Ha, puzzle solved
