Hello everyone, After spending some time working on the Ranger from Corel, it was time to get back to this fine piece. As you can see, the masts are almost finished. They still need their tops, ropes, and blocks, and they will be waxed and polished. Then they will go into the display case on the ship so they are out of the way when I finish the yards. Best regards

Hello everyone, The package actually arrived today. Anyone who took a closer look at the box probably guessed, as I did, that something about it seemed familiar. And yes, the guess is correct: the contents are identical to those of dear Pavel Nikitin. At the same time, I found a Facebook post from 2019 that finally confirms the whole thing. It appears to be his first version of the Oseberg, which is also evident from the excellent quality of the materials. Sixteen solid wood panels in various thicknesses and two plywood panels for the basic frame. Canvas, ropes and a few nails. Three A0 sheets of plans and illustrated building instructions in English and Ukrainian complete the package. I am personally very excited about the contents, pack everything back up nicely and store it in the cupboard until existing projects are completed. Greetings to all of you out there Translated with DeepL.com (free version) -

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
