I found that it was part of the French Temeraire class but I'm unable to find any sort of plans
-
Can anyone help me find plans for this. America gave This ship to the French as a gesture of friendship. America was the first ship of the line built for the Continental Navy, but she never saw service there, being given to France after launching. French ship America (1788) America was a Téméraire-class 74-gun ship of the line of the French Navy. The Royal Navy captured her in 1794 at the Glorious First of June. She then served with the British under the name HMS Impetueux until she was broken up in 1813. She became the prototype for the Royal Navy America-class ship of the line.

I'm looking to find a decent French 2nd or 3rd rate ship of the line. Hopefully 1/48 scale, something that will compare with something like the HMS Bellona from CAF model. for a gift to a friend. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello, I am trying to build the HMS Triton found in the Group projects. The build does not include any of the masting construction and I am wanting to include the masting with bowsprit hoping to find info on how there all built into the hull of the ship before I get too deep into the build so I can add the necessary woodwork needed for their construction into the boat. I'm needing this info because I'm planning to make this a remote-controlled sailboat. I have looked everywhere I can think to look for something that might help me understand how the bowsprit is attached to the hull with no or extremely vague results hoping someone can help. Thank in advance to any able to offer anything to my dilemma.

My concern is in placing them in their proper locating and with the bowsprit especially that it's at the proper angle. also, I'm unable to find anything that tells me how much doubling it required when connecting the main mast to its 2 toper masts. I found this in the build plans, and it has helped allot but not with everything Triton Mast and Spar Dimensions.pdf

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
