  1. You can look forward to an epic and interesting build. It is not as difficult to build as rumours says. Is this an older version of the kit? Mine came with the keel in one piece; not in walnut as yours but light colored ply like the frames. Judging from the pictures it seems yours came with strips for deck planking. Mine came without but with scribed decks. Mine also came with balsa for the first planking instead of lime.
  2. I have no experience with any of the Cutty Sark kits out there, but I suspect that the best one might be the Woody Joe 1/80 kit (they have a 1/100 also). I own the 1/80 Nippon Maru kit (not yet started) and the quality is impressive.
