Tape it off and spray, I'm actually using Wal-Mart brand primer as the paint then I'm going with a liquid wash for the gray surfaces and a powder to weather the deck

Got my wash in, the logistics on these builds is crazy, and of course as you can tell by the second picture organization is the key LOL!!!

Thanks Kevin, your Victory is a true piece of art WOW! I just had to guess on the waterline and I think I'm close but not 100% The wood deck adds a great touch that after it is slightly weathered should look good. I got the last of my PE, it is for the catapult and has 65 crewman with it. Will post more pics soon.

Thank you all for the positive comments, more pics coming. I am a deputy sheriff so sometimes I don't to work on my hobby as much as I like.

Looking at all the kit parts and add the PE parts can be very intimidating for sure. I previously built the 1/200 Arizona which helps me not be overwhelmed!!! Lol

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
