AntonyUK Posted January 20, 2016 #4 Posted January 20, 2016 Hi Greg. I tend to start at the Stem when I am planking. There is sometimes a rebate in the stem to allow the planks to fit. If not I would add one. I shape the plank first with all the tappers and featherings done then I offer the plank to the stem and draw the line to match the angle of the stem. I then use a razor saw to trim to rough size. Then adjust the angle to match the rebate with sandpaper or sharp knife. Regards Antony.
