I'm carving and shaping these braces by hand using an xacto blade and sandpaper.   I don't use any power tools for my work. the only electric tool I have is a plank bender.

 

it took some time to make these parts and my hands are really sore, it does not help when you have arthritis in the hands either.

now I will start from the front and work back toward the area I finished

I always try to use a wire for more support on smaller pieces

I'm using some temporary pieces of wood as a guide for creating the supports for the grading which will be placed up front.

for the sides I'm using hull planking stacked and glued.

I placed some hull planking on these curved support pieces, the laser cut pieces felt too thin
