Im a fairly experienced builder and recently got the Amati Cannoniera Svedese 1775. 

The instuctions are simply one sheet....all in Italian only. Some numbers on it which seem unrelated to the plans. The list of parts is not related to these numbers.

Honestly they are worse than useless!

Please please can anybody shed any light or possible solution

Is this a "new" kit or one you picked up maybe on Ebay?    You might try emailing Amati and see if they have set of instructions in English.  Here's their website:  https://www.amatimodel.com/en/
