Hi everyone,

I chanced to find remaindered copies of the book 'Sovereign of the Seas' by James Sephton for only £6.99 in

'The Works'  (UK chain discount bookshop)

I bought a copy in Plymouth today and the shop assistant  'thinks' copies would also be in other branches.

I flag this up as this is a superb, very well researched book and would prove invaluable for modellers thinking about or

building this vessel, or indeed as a very good reference book.

Amazon have this book listed at over £16.00, and one of the reviews is well worth reading.

Hope this will prove useful information, regards, Nick

Given that the thread is about two years old now, and given the difficulties I have had in locating this book (it seems to be "out of stock" at the usual places; e.g. Amazon, the publisher), does anyone currently know where I can purchase a copy of Sephton's book?

Sorry,I thought I would have a look around to no avail.I can't believe that this book has sold out, then again it went to press when the partwork of SOS started in the UK.I bought a copy when it was hot off the press.Depending on exactly what you want the book for,I found Hiendrik Busmanns book of more use. However this is very expensive and out of print.I waited 8months for a copy to come up at sensible money in the US and had it shipped to the UK.This book though is only available in German, however the wealth of illustrations of the carvings make it a worthwhile investment if you plan on modelling the vessel.

Kind Regards

Nigel
