kapiteinhadock Posted January 4, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 4, 2014 Hello all, Im building a cross section of HMS Victory.I put two barrels across on top of the ballast on PS and now I was wondering if there is a rule of thumb for the storage of barrels, longitudinal as on SB or across as on PS ? According to the book 'Anatomy of the ship Diana' barrels were stored oriented fore and aft in a bed of shingle ballast with more barrels stored on top of them athwartships, presumably well secured.
