  1. I didnt use most of the materials in the box. Mine first layer of lime board and the second layer with boards are of much better quality. The masts and rigging are bought from Cris Watton and the rope from rope ofscale in Canada. Also changed a littel bit of the houses and deckplanks from my wery big scrap box. <it is no prblem with building it direct from the box. I have buildt many models but I thing this is the most hard. The bulkheads and the construction of the bulheads are the best I haver ever seen. The rest are so and so. It have been an interesting build. Earlier I have built many ships: Fram 1:50, Alert 1:64, HMS Speedy 1:64, Indefatigable 1:64, Cutty Sark BB model, and many more, some scratsh build too. If you like I can sheare some photos of them. My next projekt is Oseberg viking ship from Ukraine.
  2. I am building the barque Stefano from MariStella. I have only used the bulkheads construction, the beatifull drawings and some small parts. The other materials are from my big Scrap boxes. The firt thre pictures are from last summer and the last three pictures are from today.
  3. I only used the bulkhead construction from the kit and some small parts, rest are from my big scratch boks.
  4. I am building the barque Stefano from MariStella. I have a question about the running rigg. The instructions only shows the ship with sail. I am building it without sails. Somebody out there have drawings or insructions for the running rigging a barque ship without sals. Morten in Norway

  10. Hi.

Last three years I have buildt Wattons: HMS Speedy, HMS Indefatigable, HMS Alert and one of his fishing trawlers.

I tried to begin with a B B ship and a Shipways kit but gave up. I have to wait for Wattons next kit. When you are used to the perfect quality og Wattons kits it is not easy to strart with the lower quality.

    Hurry up Chris.
