Can you send me an Amazon link to something that'll work for me? I'm willing to beg from the warden. I found the color I want, but there's only one oz. There's another that looks so close I can't see a difference when painting. I'm going to mix the 2 to get 2 oz's. Some have Admirals, some are told what to think. Just kidding. My 92 year old WWII vet has been married for 72 years and calls his wife the warden. This woman is MEAN!!!!!

@Torstein, I think this should answer your question. Otherwise, thoughts on the color? Wow. When you load the picture you get a thumbnail. After you submit you see what the phone saw. Zoomed way in. On MY monitor, the color on the left closest resembles the color. Guess we'll have to wait for the air gun hose to see what it really looks like.

Torstein, I'd guess it depends on the paint and the brush combined, but I highly doubt it. My advice would be to tell her you love her 3 times a day and hug her at least once. 2 dinners out over 2 weeks, then apply for funds. At least that's what I'll try next. Definitely want new paints. Welcome aboard. You'll find I'm not much into the NRG side. I'm going to paint this the colors I want.

So I wound up getting a package called airbrush colors from u.s.airsupply on Amazon. Acrylic. $60 got me 24 colors of ready to airbrush 1 oz colors, a mixing bottle and a color wheel. Thinner and a retardant. What's the paint thinner, distilled water? LOL. Happy so far, but haven't used it yet. Looking forward to painting the hull with trepidation.

I don't know if 60% RH happens when it's raining here. This time next month it'll be 13% RH. We're at 150 feet above sea level here. I'm going to need help from my best friend in school, Edward Special to retard drying enough. Wait; degrees, or humidity? Degrees, no sweat, humidity, not gonna happen.

That's a damn nice ship. Seems very manly. How will you display it?

Clean and beautiful! The sails are amazing. The deck looks like each planks had its own attention. How does it feel when you decide to call a build complete? No more you can do for better or for worse.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
