  1. Fake stantions in place. I lost a few that needed to be replaced when sanding, but no real problems. Getting ready to sand and prime. Screwed up that, see what I can come up with at the stern.
  2. Looks pretty good to me, mate! When the time comes, I have a wife that I spent over a grand on a sewing machine that known how to use every function. Had to take classes. Look at all those typo's! This texting while driving is not easy.
  3. I like your answer. You do have to look for the hitch in the line though. Had I not been looking for it I'd have missed it.
  4. Maybe I wouldn't hid the rigging:) I admire your tenacity to go into so much detail.
  5. I'm betting I can paint mine by hand. No taping off. As for the repetitive, I always try to make a jig, or fine some way to mass produce. I think that's what gets me in trouble.
  6. For the stability of the yard, could you cut the joint at an angle to give more surface area for the glue? Then wrap the joint in some brass. I got strips, like 3/32x1/64x18" for next to nothing on amazon. Sails, could you die them after gluing?
  7. I like green and yellow myself. Approaching painting myself. Wouldn't it be okay to use a semi-gloss, or was that not an option back then?
  8. To hard to judge withe the color washed out. It's that old pre-2018 technology.
  9. Try this: use the symbol @MarisStella.hr Don will be notified that's he's been mentioned in a post. .
  10. @texxn5, I'll pm you. That's not the first time I've heard of that model. I have your table saw as well, the one that the saw tilts and all that.
  11. @vaddoc Tell me a lot more about the bearing you mention. Oh, that's right, Ma. And thanks. Freaking nag.
  12. Those Palm planes look a little cheaper than the lathe.
  13. Is there a lathe that can handle the small diameter, but long length of a mast?
  14. That's so beautiful I'd like to see is on the main floor of my house!
  15. Welcome. I've been at it for 5 years now and I'm still new.
  16. Mike, Getting back to twisting planks. When I twisted that boxwood, I put it between helping hands of 2 units so I had some distance. I then used my steamer until the wood was soaked. I then immediately gave it a slight twist, let it dry, soaked, twisted. Probably took me 6 hours to do that.
