Those detailed instructions are incredible...Might I ask where did you get them... Are they part of the instructions booklet?

Your work is amazing... I started on the Heller Victory in March of 2013. At the very beginning, I was interrupted by Cancer and had to postpone my build. Well, Great news, I beat it and have been resuming my build, a kind of therapy if you will. I came to the quick conclussion, just like you, that certain parts had togo. I have been searching the web, reading posts, visiting websites, trips to the hobby stores, etc. I bought the etch parts from Dafi, and to all out there, I cannot highly enough reccomend them for this build. As for the blocks, deadeyes, and ropes, I would greatly appreaciate your help. I saw that you used Syrens products which was already on my purchase list. My question to you specifically is: what size, color, type (cotton, linen, nylon) and where did you purchase the ropes are you using for the shrouds, cannons, and seizings? I think that all the followers of your build would find this information extremly useful in their builds. I look foward to your reply if at all possible.

Great work there...And I have to ask..where did you get the flourishes..The ones that look like "S"...and not to be a stickler for details...did you reverse those (the "s" are counter clockwise)...

Phenominal work Sid...I am currently starting my work on the HMS Victory as well and will be using yout posting as guide. I am deeply impressed with your rigging and as you may know, the Heller 1/100 kit instrustions leave a lot to be desired. Anyway, my question to you is how did you paint the Galleries (rear section) and Bows (front section) of the boat with such prescision. I seem to never come across a video or step by step set of instructions as to technique. I am excellent with an airbrush, but paintbrush technique needs some work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Congratulations !!!
I wanted to let you know that I have been looking forward to your updated build log on a regular basis for quite some time. Everytime I opened it, I found it not only informative but laid out in terms for the simple layman that I am. It influenced me so much that It coerced me into selecting and purchasing my own Model Shipways Niagara a while back. The choice at that time was the Niagara or the Brig Syren. You made my selection seem more approachable and less intimidating to the intermediary beginner. I find that working on my build(s) to be both enjoyable and therapeutic for my condition. It is sad to see it come to an end, but I look forward to your tackling of the U.S.S. Constitution next. Please don't make it seem so easy, for I fear I will try convince myself that I too, am up to the task (LOL)...
With best wishes and congratulations,
