    Hello Reach
good to see you in my build log
    thank you for your comment
and yes i will do that 4 plank shift on the lower deck , My observation about our hobby its to take the time and to work slowly and do my best on any stage ,
to be honest if i wanted to have that ship at home i could fined it on eBay ready to put it in the show box  but for me to have that ship in the show box its only a bonus
and for sure you agree with me, my proof is your build log and you doing a best job !

Rich, you dont NEED to serve, but it does add a textural element to the rigging that is nice. Check Alexi Domanof in the list of dealers on the NRG page. I believe he is in Europe and I have heard good things about his ropewalk, I think it will serve also?
EDIT I just looked, he offers a serving machine.

Welcome Django, I am no where "master builder"  this is my second build. I'm in no rush to finish. All I would like it it to look great and to the best I possibly could get. Sometimes redoing  more than twice! ask question were you need to, Some time look a few steps beyond where you are, in case you need to do something different.

wow very nice construction Rich, I'm building the victory as well, but when I look at yours, then I understand the difference between an amatuer (I) and a master (you)

Remade my Main Top Gallant. I am much more satisfied with how it fits in with the rest of the mast. I am going to attempt setting the Main mast in place today. Depending on how things go I might try getting the Fore Mast in place also. I hope I am not rushing things, but I am tired of seeing her sit there looking to same every day.

A couple of pictures of the new Top Gallant set in place as well as the old one for comparison.

Here is my first attempt that so irritated the Gremlin set next to the new for comparison. He is much quieter today. I may still lengthen the flag pole a bit, it seems a tad short:

I go back on to a 7 day a week schedule again this monday so I dont know how much progress will be made over the next few weeks. Hopefully its only for a short period. Probably going to have lots of time to build after mid March as neither the owner or myself have had any bid requests come to us. I would never ask for work to stop coming in but I am looking forward to some time to breath. This has been going on since October I think.

Hello All, Thanks for the comments and Likes, as always very much appreciated.

Thanks for that Sam, I found a few videos. (Video On Stopping Blocks)

Before I found the Video, I used 0.25mm copper wire and made hooks etc. then with the use of silver solder and flux, soldered the ends, ill paint the seen soldered parts.

I am missing a picture, of the between these, Ill make and take a new picture and add later.

Just need to add the coil of rope at the end. not chose how that will look yet.

Hello All, Thanks for the comments and Likes, as always very much appreciated.
HI Gary, I go see what you mean, I have in fact now stripped and re rigged that gun, and it has more slack.
This is the look was hoping for just not got there yet, although im not that worried about the cannons you can see, (

I have figured you that i was using wrong size rings  (left side is the wrong size and out of scale, ( although this would aid rigging)
so, in my normal faction, ""redo"" again..

So after our BBQ, today ill prime and paint , etc.,

Does anyone have a good idea on the easiest way to rig the cannons, as i has tremendous trouble? As what i was thinking I have one made, pull out the rings and make them of deck, then attach when done.

    Thanks for following and looking

    Sjors,
The Gremlin is my name for that nagging voice we all hear when we critique our own work.  He is vicious, mean and nasty, has foul body odor and chews with his mouth open. No redeeming social qualities whatsoever except to make us look at our work and try to improve it.

He also passes gas and blames it on the dog!
