    Hi guys:

Now I am in the process of doing the shrouds. As you all know, implies much more work that it seems at first sight and they consume great time.  But this is nothing comparing with the more or less 900 knots for the ratlines that I will do later!!!

In the first picture you can see the two methods I used to do the shrouds, preferring the double one in order to reduce the thickness over the mast.

So far there has not been much problem with the instructions but I approach a twilight zone with the rest of the rigging, since the BB instructions are somewhat confusing and there are differences with the 1:10 model of the Vasa Museum, also with the Clayton´s model and with the Corel pictures I already saw.

This set is supplied with a sail made of embroidered fabric, it is necessary to finalized it by a hand (manualy),  I should sew the edges and add a rope that surrounds the outer edge of the sail ... I tied the masthead ... and mounted it on the mast ...

Hi,  Thanasis, this is the Croatian definition of Leudo :
... Leut is one of the oldest boats with oars and sails on the Croatian coast, common in the Neretva and Omis (ancient times), and over time spread across the whole Adriatic. Usually divided into smaller (up to 8.5 meters) and larger (up to 15 meters), capacity 6-8 tons (fish). There are six oars, the hull is massively built. Her deck is covered, has a strong keel and hull is rounded in the central part. The mast is located at 1/3 the length of the hull. Has a Latin sail. She differs of all the other ships in the fact that the bow has a drop jump board long up to 1.2 meters. The crew makes 7-8 people, and a fishing boat at a time when there were no engines had up to 14 crew members. She does not develop high speed, but she is extremely resistant to high winds and waves.

schnu.. I'm sorry for "fish", I'm not going to say it any more ...

... just preparing photographs of the oars ...

I know almost nothing of the subject, but maybe to not expose the fish at the sun to long, the only thing I know is that fish stinks when it is hours in the sun.

Thanasis, yes, I understand it now ... I agree with you, developmental factor is also  the succeeding factor in perfecting the vessel throughout  the history...

... Talking about Trajta,  I prepared everything for mounting the rudder ...Here are a few more photos:

I got the stern and bow filler blocks close enough that I felt I could gule them on and continue fairing, taking the filler blocks into account.  I still believe they'll need some more shaping, especially the bow blocks as once they're on the ship they look like they're too rounded and will need to lose some more of the curve.

Transom Windows - I didn't like the way the transom windows look when they're inserted into the window hole in the transom so I decided to see what I could do about that.  My first thought is to add a bit of frame so I tried that on one window to see how it looks.  I took the tiniest piece of wood in the kit and made a frame.  Had to hand cut the angles since they're not really 45 degrees with the window slanted.  I like the look of this much better, and I think once it was sanded and painted it would look great, but this makes another issue worse.  Since the metal transom decoration piece is already smaller than the windows making them bigger with this framing just makes that worse.  I saw where Zev stretched out his metal piece to make it wider and I'm considering something like that but I don't have a vise to do that like he did so I'm trying to work out how I might do that.  If anyone has an idea how I might MacGyver something to stretch this out I'd be very appreciative.

Two more tests of my advancing character animation. The workflow and setup is almost complete. The texturing of the coat is still missing. Credits for modelling of headwear, wig and under-garment goes to Varsels from sharecg.com. The officers coat, its fittings and the overall composition and animation setup is my own creation.

    Hi schnu...

My intent is not a promotion, but the introduction  .... Constructions that are not visible on the models are made of poplar plywood (laser-cut), all elements that are visible on the models are made in walnut solid wood panels (laser-cut)... the rest are walnut strips, rarely lime, oak and mahogany ...

    Hola!!

    Last update:
After some days of work I finished the rest of the masts, letting only the tops unbonded.  I did so thinking that it could subsequently facilitate the placement of the shrouds.  You can see the method I use to make them straight and how they look.

You can see in the pictures the masts in their positions but I have not fixed them yet.

Continuing to work on fairing the bulkheads.  Most of the problems seem to come from Bulkheads F and H which appear to be too high.  Bulkhead G is between those two of course, and at first I thought I'd need to shim G but after lots of sighting down the lines of the bulkheads and testing with a planking strip, lowering F and H seemed like it would keep the curves of the ship better than raising G. After working those two bulkheads out I should be able to fine tune.
    .
Also continuing to work on the counter block and despite trying to be sure it didn't end up too narrow, it did.  It looks like I'll need to add some filler to get the bulkhead curve to continue smoothly.
