I have begun to build the sails.
i have had a quick lesson in stitching as this kit does not supply completed sails.
it’s been a good challenge and here is my first sail.

I am wondering if anyone out there has copies of the build plans for the Sciabecco as the Amati kit is very vague and is in ITALIAN only.
It does not supply any plans to show sizes and sails and rigging etc.

For some reason the air brushing didn’t come out so well so I revisited using a brush and seems to have fixed my issues.

The planking is coming on now and going to my satisfaction.

I have moved a little further on my new journey.
Today I have glued together the skeleton frame and use some small right angle blocks to keep the frame square.
Painted the frames red and dry fitted the deck pieces to the frames.Had to trim slightly to have an easy fit.

I have very interested in the sleek lines of the vessel and have just purchased the kit.
I am building the SOS at the moment and have decided to start the Sciabecco to give me some variety of stages.rr
