Hello everybody I decided to take a break for the construction of the Enterprize, a very complex job, due to the shorter time I have in this period. At this time I decided to make a simpler model that I have wanted to build for years. A typical boat of the Mediterranean, the schifetto carlofortino, a gozzo that has the characteristic of having the sides with curved rowlocks. Originally these boats were used for coral fishing or fishing for fish and lobsters, or other transport for trade along the Mediterranean coasts. Those for trade were larger in size, even at 18 meters. Now many have been rebuilt for lateen sailing sport regattas, making them very beautiful with the use of precious woods such as teak, iroko and mahogany.

The construction of the stern castle created me many difficulties due to some pieces supplied in the plastic kit that I had to make out of wood.

Hello all the work I want to publish is the 1/48 scale HMS Enterprise 1774 vessel. I started from the CAF model kit and I customized the model creating the complete interiors. For the realization, I used various documentation, including the Pandora monograph, Shipright 1/96 drawings, and different documentation collected by the Forums. I have reported on the scans of the caf drawings in 1/48 the scans of the Pandora drawings in order to have a uniform scale, and those of Shipyard. The model is half wrapped and half exposed.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
