  1. Almost finished, need to finish the stand and the case (and the small cover for the red switch box) rear view with painted shields attached I have to stop playing with switches (turn on/off leds) and hide switch box rigging close details
  2. I have to make some adjustments in order to install stern lantern. I have already placed a red led at the stern, but I have to replace the bottom part of lantern and drill a hole in order to pass through the led. I have decided to replace it with a carved wood. Starting shaping.... after a lot of sanding, finally it getting shape almost done, a comparison with the standard IKEA stencil a close look
  3. Artesania Anchors where silver, so I decided to paint them. I used light gray for primer, and after 24 hour drying, I used metalic color, gun metal. metalic color have the advantage to "shine" it with a shoft clothe and give a realistic view.
  4. To add some details on deck, I have created cannon ball crates Artesania pumps are cast metal, so have no choice but to remake them
  5. Time to fix rudder first got to unmount rudder remove hinges and old planks closing / tapping old holes on hull and finally correct hinges on rudder
  6. ΟΗΗ ****!!!!!! DAMN @#$!@#$!@#$!@# now its hurting my eyes, I really need to fix it, somehow
  7. Its about time to test LED lights inside decks, with daylight and camera shot, are looking green, actually are yellowish My goal is to point the decks (lower, main, front and captain's quarters) have rooms, not just the wall and a closed door. with little effort, from the open windows at stern gallery you can take a glance at Captain's quarter furniture....
  8. I never indent to use the cast metal lifeboat that artesania provided, so I have to try and build one so far so good, hull is finished, I will start working the rest details
  9. Some pictures from deck, before placing cannons right under the cabin, are the batteries hidden I have decided to divide the crate at the main deck in 4 parts, and leave one open, so along with the led light, the interior with the ladder and barrels will be visible, even after the installation of the boat right above the crates I have added pillars to support front deck
  10. a close look at the finished stern, with open windows with access to captains quorters
  11. I have created a cylindrical column for the front guns (instruction says to use a square piece of wood)
  12. Artesania instructions provides the crate in one piece (like the one on the poop deck), I have decided to split it in two pieces, it looks better I have done the same with the crate on the main deck, I have split it in 4 sections, and I have left one open to place the ladder. The boat is going to be placed right above, so the details of the main deck (ladder, barrels, led light) will not be seen much.
  13. I have done the same with the rest of balusters, installed a pin first, to make them more stable
