I have to make some adjustments in order to install stern lantern. I have already placed a red led at the stern, but I have to replace the bottom part of lantern and drill a hole in order to pass through the led. I have decided to replace it with a carved wood. Starting shaping.... after a lot of sanding, finally it getting shape almost done, a comparison with the standard IKEA stencil a close look

Artesania Anchors where silver, so I decided to paint them. I used light gray for primer, and after 24 hour drying, I used metalic color, gun metal. metalic color have the advantage to "shine" it with a shoft clothe and give a realistic view.

Its about time to test LED lights inside decks, with daylight and camera shot, are looking green, actually are yellowish My goal is to point the decks (lower, main, front and captain's quarters) have rooms, not just the wall and a closed door. with little effort, from the open windows at stern gallery you can take a glance at Captain's quarter furniture....

Some pictures from deck, before placing cannons right under the cabin, are the batteries hidden I have decided to divide the crate at the main deck in 4 parts, and leave one open, so along with the led light, the interior with the ladder and barrels will be visible, even after the installation of the boat right above the crates I have added pillars to support front deck

Artesania instructions provides the crate in one piece (like the one on the poop deck), I have decided to split it in two pieces, it looks better I have done the same with the crate on the main deck, I have split it in 4 sections, and I have left one open to place the ladder. The boat is going to be placed right above, so the details of the main deck (ladder, barrels, led light) will not be seen much.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
