To stuglo:  I got this device from a friend, but the equipment was made to order by another company. So I have no way of getting another one. I´m sorry.
Installation of guns. It remains to complete the side nd train tackles.

Druxey, you're right. But no one would say how much time these details will take.
I continue with the roof of the galley. Due to the small space, I simplified the attachment of the roof a bit (this detail will not be very visible in the final).

Again a 2 months period has passed, you all might be thinking I stopped building. Now indeed I stopped building temporarily as another project came by but that has been finished so I continued the build.

I finished the gunports on the Verdek and also the gunport lids.
The inner planking up to the halfdek was also done.

After that I started working on the bow section before going farther up. I decided the concentrate my build a little more (I have been building crosswise) I will build basically from down to up.

Czech modeler Doris Obručová advised me to use an external matt spray topcoat. I tried matt Vallejo varnish ..

Tests outside the ship have shown the best way to pour a horizontal layer of paint ... Bingo

Then dry with a hair dryer and .. the surface is matte! Ship finally unpacked ..

    I will not edit any more..💥 O.

The real challenge was making the first piece for the ship: the bow ornament. I made some mini carving tools by grinding sewing needles, and I'm rather happy with the result. At least I think it looks quite like the original drawing.

    A-A-A-A-N-D . . . PLANKING IS COMPLETE!

    Last steps . . .

All planks in place - pushpins removed.

And it came off the plug without damage!

There was an initial problem - the clingwrap had got torn in a few places during the planking procedure, and a couple of planks had stuck lightly to the plug. I had to ease a blade between the planking and the plug to free them up. Fortunately it was only the very last layers of planking, so I could free them up. A bit of careful jiggling back and forth, and VOILA!

(I tore the clingwrap to get the ship free - this is the bit left behind between the planking and the plug).

And here she is free and clear.

    Rather a pretty shape, I think  .

Now, there's a possibility that the hull might squeeze inward without frames, so the next job is the cut the plug into crosswise slices - one for each frame - and then make frames based on those shapes.

    All good  .

Well, I've been offline for awhile but I haven't been idle.

I've made a new buisine (trumpetty thing) with a finer shaft, so it looks more like a trumpet than a bazooka. And a second one. Terribly worried I was going to cut the shafts so thin they would break, but they turned out ok.

And I've carved the second buisinier, so now I have both.

So here's the three figures so far - A and B on the seal below - (the helmsman isn't finished - I won't finalise his arms till I have the steering oar made and in position)

The next people to carve will be the guys amidships (C on the seal). And looking carefully at them for the first time I realise they are working a windlass!

It turns out this seal is not just a picture of a ship - it's captured a moment in time!

This ship is getting ready to set sail: The helmsman (A) is in place to steer the vessel, and two buisiniers (B) are announcing the ship's departure. The windlass (C) is raising the yard , two crewmen at the bow are weighing in the anchor (D), another crewman (E) is climbing a backstay to unfurl the sail when the yard is fully hoisted.
