I plan on dropping everything had going and getting this ship on the build table. using Alex's plans which I got in full surprise to me, thanks Alex let me know if I owe you anything. bear with me people as I am a disabled vet USAF with only one usable arm. luckily it is my left arm that is damaged. I am learning to do everything with my right hand and arm with a small assist from my left hand when I can. I have to type one-fingered I will try and spell check as best I can. thanks wish me luck

figured I would leave out or not make sense here. his is my problem I am building the triton 1/48 fully masted with rigging it will be on a slightly raised cradle. I am getting together the tools I need to make one and also the idea of what design I would like to use. I have seen some ideas on here but need the info for making the case hopefully someone has built her this way and perhaps could make some measurements for me. I would need a ball park figure and yes I am aware of the space needed on each side top, sides etc.
thanks in advance

Okay after quite a while of waiting I came across a very good deal on a nice German made proportional divider just got it today. it is made really well so I told myself wait a minute how do you use this thing in this hobby?. I looked on here found some uses but still not enough info for me, I went online through Google and other search engines mainly found info on their use in the artistic uses not much in wooden ship building. is there a instructional on the use of this tool at least a more precise one just for this art form?

try for a finish of bees wax and turp i plan tp use it on my bass wood as it leaves sort of a dull finish unless you buff on it and it seals the wood. somehere on the site someone turned me onto it had a recipe of sorts i think it was Edt. you will get depending on the bee wax used as there are many types and colors tou will basically get the same color you have but with protection from the elements and its cheap.

as i just about to get er' done i would like to know myself as i have cut all the frames for the aft and bow areas. perhaps someone who has built her already will chime in here and tell us what they did to remedy this problem. i have the original drawings on my hard drive perhaps i could look at them and see what to see. i have yet to begin putting everything together hand problems.

i have found that the more I use my scroll saw(thank god I got it) the more I get better at using it. I will admit that if I do not use it for a while it takes some getting back into the swing of things. right now I am having some issues with my hands hope to sort it out soon, probably the cold used to be I hated the heat now as I get older heat is a good thing cold is not.

lots of frames I have cut out and placed them in a organized manner I have built a jig to build her but have yet to get pics. I have the keel and false keel already cut. next is starting to put the frames etc. together. I have also made a mock up of planks and wood to try different methods of staining hope to show this soon and different types of stains I used my wood is basswood so far for both full build as well as this one.
