  1. I want one Indy set when ready. They are really well done

  2. I think I will buy this kit. It looks pretty sharp, and not too dinky for my clumsy hands. I’d appreciate knowing if Maris Stella is top quality or not. I haven’t done one of theirs before. My last was Occre, which I thought was really good quality. Thanks, John Carleton
  3. I’m building Prinz Eugen (Occre) and having trouble with painting the brass and Britannia parts. I’m using ModelExpo acrylic water soluble paint with brushes. After drying the paint tends to slip off when touched, so I must be doing something wrong. Do I need to prep the metal? BTW, I am really enjoying the kit, it is first class.
  4. Jim, I am a bit behind you.Can I use Minwax water based Polycrylic clear matte protective finish, or should I use something else. John Carleton, Southport NC
  5. Thanks, good advice, especially the Admiral's advice.
  6. I am doing the Syren. After putting on the copper plate adhesive backed plates, should I apply a coat of poly or varnish? What keeps the corners of the tape from dog earring while I work on other parts? Advise please? John
