For your consideration are the following sets of carving tools. All prices in USD, and INCLUDE shipping. As such, I would prefer to keep shipping in USA, given the difficulty and expense of shipping outside USA currently. I would prefer to not split these sets up, unless there are an overwhelming number of offers for individual tools. I have tried to price these attractively, but please feel free to make offers! Set #1 - Dockyard chisels, dogleg style, set of 4 - $45 USD (Shipped in USA) Set # 2 - Mascot carving knives, set of 4 - $25 USD (Shipped in USA) Set # 3 - Flexcut gouges, set of 17 - $140 USD (Shipped in USA) Top row (L to R) - 15mm L skew shallow, 15mm R skew shallow, 15mm L skew gouge, 15mm R skew gouge, 4mm L skew gouge, 9mm straight gouge, 11mm thumbnail gouge, 9mm shallow gouge, 14mm shallow gouge, 15mm shallow gouge Bottom row (L to R) - as labled - 45* x 1mm V tool, 1mm palm gouge, 1.5mm palm gouge, 5mm palm gouge, 6 mm V tool, 3/8" thumbnail gouge, 9/16" thumbnail gouge Set # 4 - Unmarked gouges (I believe these to be Ramelson, but cannot confirm), set of 10 - $50 USD (Shipped in USA) Set includes 3 chisels (2 straight, 1 skew), 7 gouges of varied widths/depths/shapes Item # 5 - Pfeil 8mm bent chisel - $15 USD (Shipped in USA)

Thank you both for your kind words, I appreciate them. The NRG community as a whole was a very important part of his life, and I have received quite a few heartfelt communications from members since his passing. It is clear that he made quite a few true friends and lasting connections through this group of amazing people, and I can take some solace in the fact that there are so many folks out there in the world that can think back on fond memories of his life and their experiences together.

Update 3/13/22 - I have added some books and bundles to this listing, and will update with any more books or bundles that I have. Book Set #1 - Constitution - Asking $75 Shipped in USA - Bicentennial Edition Instructions & Plans (BlueJacket) 4th Ed, 1997; by Laurence Arnot; Signed inside 11/2/97 - Model Shipways reprint of “A brief account of her history, together with data for model builders” Howdy! I would like to offer for your consideration the following model kits that are a part of my late father's estate. Many of the members of the NRG knew my father Mitch Michelson as a very active member of the organization, and Kurt was kind enough to allow me to post these kits for sale on this forum. I held on to several other kits and supplies that my father acquired over his many years' interest in this hobby and related subjects for use and enjoyment in my own model building pursuits, but as we all know as hobbyists and craftsmen (& craftswomen!), there just isn't enough time to build them all. As such, I would be happy to see these kits go to other workbenches to provide enjoyment to others. I will post an asking price with each in an effort to comply with MSW Forum guidelines, but please feel free to make any offer you feel is reasonable for the following kits, regardless of what "asking price" I list. Seriously, I would rather see these go out the door for "pennies on the dollar" for someone to get enjoyment from their contents than have them remain untouched for years to come on my shelves. I am not necessarily looking to make any kind of significant profit on the sale of these kits, but I would like to be able to gather some proceeds from these sales to go toward my own hobby interests that my father started me on the path of as a youngster. Please also consider that several of the larger kits will obviously cost more to ship based on their weight, and I would ask that any buyers please be prepared to consider that when making offers. I will happily work on quoting shipping prices to interested parties via PM, and hopefully we can work out arrangements amenable to both parties from there. I will accept PayPal or Venmo payments. To my knowledge, all of the following kits are complete with all parts. I am happy to take more detailed photos of any boxes' contents on buyer's request. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have! **(edited as sales are completed to remove sold listings)** Kit # 5 - Artesanna Latina - Harvey 1847 Baltimore Clipper 1:50 - Asking $100 USD + Shipping Kit #7 - Mantua Model - HMS Victory Lord Nelson's Flagship 1:98 - Asking $150 USD + Shipping Kit #8 - Model Shipways - New Bedford Whaleboat 1:16 - Asking $50 USD + Shipping (PENDING) **Please note that this kit was originally delivered from Model Expo missing a few parts. My father contacted them to request said missing parts, and to my knowledge, the missing parts were delivered and added to this kit. I have a photo of his request to Model Expo, and would be happy to take detailed photos of the parts included in the box for buyer's review.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
