  1. Hello there

I am in the process of cutting out the second level of gun ports on my model space Victory and found that  the x-actor blades are not cutting to good even being new the instruction say to cut diagonally  to the center hole and dig out the rest and to leave enough wood to sand to the right dimensions which would be 12mm X12mm,  but it is taking way to long my question is there any super sharp blades that would cut thought balsa or what ever the planks are made of to fit a #11 handle

will scalpel blades work better I know they are extremely sharp any suggestions  would be fine thank you

  2. I like the steamer you have there may I ask where you brought it,  for now all I have to bend planks ard a  bending iron and a crumper the head of the iron is too

big for the type of turn I need to do for the stern  hopefully the instruction will

explain how to get the tight  turn  for linking the stern  when reach that part of the build

  3. Hello there

I  am working the model space Victory and would like to know  how to make the sharp bend in the planks for the stern area

of the ship for the bottom when I reach that part of the instructions and  most certain that the instructions will not explain how to do it, the video does show a little of how it is done but not very understandable so that is why I am here any suggestions would be most appreciated thank you

  4. HI Jerry

great job you are doing on your victory I have a confusing question  what is the accurate door entry

to a gun port  now I know your victory is much bigger then mine  I'm dong the model space Victory I'm taking that into account, reason I'm asking is I notice the door entry is  smaller then the gun ports what are the dimensions

of the gun ports on your model  mine is 12mm but the confusing is in the instructions for my model the door is 12mm wide just like the gun ports  should the entry be a tad smaller thank you

  6. HI Gil

I know the Victory has been finished for some time but would like know how did you figure out the height for the

dowels for making the jig in order to hold the victory up side down for planking and plating  the bottom I want to

do that for the Victory I'm doing do they have to be a little bit longer so the ship sits on the support base like in the photos

  7. Hello there

I see that you are also building the model space Victory so may I ask you question since Alan from the  model space takes a while to reply back, when you got to  planks 8 &9 after finishing plank 7 did you notice  as I did that they do not mention anything about not tapering plank 8 they only say you do not need to taper  plank 9 my question to you is did you taper plank 8 or not even the video left it out as well it only mention  plank 9 not having to taper also would like  ask you how when you was planking the bottom how did you go about making the tight bend in the stern area with out breaking the planks thank you
