Good morning Cees,
Happy birthday. I hope you have a great day.
Van harte gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag, maak er een mooie dag van.
It's a pity your first model didn't work out.
Good luck with your second Willem Barentzs.

Hello Edward,
I think you've made the right decision. In the first picture I see what you mean.As my Intention is to go with the AotS book I have decieded to use the supplied keel and lower part of the stempost only and do the other parts from scratch.
And if you're not happy the way it looks, change it.
Good luck with scratching the parts.
Have fun trying out your new camera next week.

Hello Patrick,
May I suggest you upload these pictures of your Bounty in the 'Gallery of COMPLETED Scratch-built models'.
It is very helpfull to post pictures, but it is a bit too much to put 15 pictures of your own build within Edward's log.
It might also be very confusing to other members who are following this topic.
Just post one or two pictures and refer to the others in the gallery.
Thank you for understandig and cooperation.
Regards,
Anja

Hello John,
Yes, you certainly are in the proper place for this kit and off to a good start.
Thanks for starting a log and have us enjoy this build with you.
The photo might not be 'pretty' as you say, but your Bireme certainly will be.
I'm looking forward to your progress.
Good luck and happy modeling with your Bireme.

Thanks for the picture Bill,
Found her with Google, but couldn't watch the virtual tours on my Ipad.
It's a great site to check out. http://cityofadelaide.org.au/the-ship.html

Hello Eric,
I'm sorry to hear about the kit, but I hope everything will be sorted out soon.
Thanks for starting a buildlog of your Victory. There are a lot of Victory builders here. Besides them are a lot people here who are willing to help and advise and answer any questions you might have. We are all here to help eachother
This topic explains how to add pictures in your posts: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/topic/540-how-to-add-pictures-in-your-posts-and-pms/
In the 'Topic Tags' you can fill in words wich refer to your build. They help identify and find related content.
For examlle 'HMS Victory', 'Caldercraft', 'Jotika', 'Wood', 'scale 1:72' etc.
Go to your first entry and click the 'edit' button. Now you can type in your 'tags'. After typing in each 'tag', hit the enter or return key. When you're finished click on the 'submit modified post' button.
Good luck with your build and happy modeling.

Hello Ship Wizard,
She sure looks like a ship to me, and a fine one as well.
You did a good job on your first build, congratulations.
Good luck with your next venture.

Ulises I am not sure where to post pictures of the ship I just completed. I don't think it is good enough for the completed gallery. Personally, I think it looks good, but it is not as nice as the gallery ones.
Hello Kimberley,
We are our own worst critic, we never think it is good enough.
But all finished ships are welcome in the gallery.
So please go ahead and upload your pictures.
I for one will be looking forward to seeing your completed ship there.

Hi Popeye,
The PDF is indeed on the Corel site. You can find it here: http://www.corel-srl.it/VASCELLISTORICI.html
I will post the 8 sheets with the drawings here. I haven't reduced the size, so just click on them for a bigger picture.

Hello Theo,Hej Anja,
I (and I'm surely not the only one) now have patiently waited quite some time for updates..
Hopefully you have a reason and have not giving her up yet ?
I know it has been quite a while since my laste update.
No, I haven't given up on my Half Moon. She is still in dry dock waiting to be finished. And she will be finished, I promise.
In the beginning I was so enthousiastic to start building her, I didn't had a good look at the manual and/or the plans.
And that's what brought me in trouble and caused me to make mistakes, wich I have to solve.
The hull is stained. I'm working on the railings and am in the process of correcting the masts allignments.
In the beginning they fitted perfectly. But now ...... Only one mast fits perfectly.
Once this is finished, I will update my log.
Thank you for looking and and your patience.
Have a great sunday.

Hello Popeye,
I am really not sure if Corel's Half Moon is any better then the one from Billing Boats.
Corel has a PDF file, but only two pages with pictures, no instructions and plans.
The instruction manual is a real pain in the proverbial backside. At least for me it is.
With Corel you have to read the manual very carefully and take a good look at the plans, before you do anything.
That's something I didn't do and therefore made mistakes.
I can't make any copies of the plans and send them to you, because the plans say 'riproduzione vietata' (all rights reserved).
But if you want, I think it will be ok to post some pictures of the plans here in my log.

Hello Gianpiero,
You're off to a great start. Beautiful work.
And thanks for the detailed pictures.
I hope you don't mind me following along quietly to watch, enjoy and learn.
With a scale of 1:30 it's a big ship. What are her measurements?
Good luck with your build.
