Unfortunately... As I like capstans of later style, I have to build a ship of this period. But I had decided to build next time - if it will be possible - Corel, Wappen von Hamburg.

    (no capstan in sight )
She is very beautiful to me and the scale is 1:40 as Berlin.
These two as in the same ratio, they will be seen natural in respect of one another, I think...

I continue with another window, 5 walnut strips glued together, two of them are narrow than others, again credit card's plastic,  the shiny black plastic of the back of the CD cover for glass. Then all is painted in the same way.

I don't like the window provided by the kit.

So if wider sheets of wood are required for spilling, why don't kits come with some sheets? It seems odd to me that they don't. It also seems that for your planking to look good and proper you must use the spilling technique?

    Hi Folks,
I had a query regarding finding my build logs - they are located on the Euromodel webpage using the link 'Customer Assistance' and then going to the 'Resource' and 'Interpretive Files' They are all in pdf format and there for the free downloading.

However one chooses to tie the ratlines, I think, would be determined by the scale of the current project....but one should also be aware that the shrouds should be as taught as possible. Otherwise, any effort to complete the ratlines would be that much more difficult and almost impossible if they are too loose....don't ask how I know  ..........
