A short update, just to show you that I'm still working. Now are only 8 strakes left. But it's a boring task, here are no port holes

These blast bags had predrilled holes unlike the bigger ones. Much much better.
then I glued all plastic floors etc.
next is to bend these sliding hatches? I dont know what they are.

Painting blast bags. Just to shade left then I can mount the guns onto the bismarck.

Cog it is the camera, the black is showing through a little to much actually. I know It's not negative criticism Negative criticism would be invited anyway. but ya That's what happens when you use an old Iphone for a camera. I think I'm to shaky to hold a paper mask
OC I avoid brushing like its the flu. just because I'm terrible at it. actually in front of me right now is A brush for the blast bags. I'm dreading it. hahaha...hairy stick.
Popeye, I just used enamel primer and wow the fumes! I kicked my bird out of the room a minute into it. another wow is the clean up of my airbrush, it's much different.
Here is about the best I can get out of my camera for seeing the shading. If you look at the tops you can see it. It looks better in person.

The guns were supposed to be two-tone gray paint job. I started by painting the bottom half the lighter gray.
Then the barrels the darker gray
but then I realized I could not mask off the bottom half with those delicate railings there. I ended up painting it all the light gray.
All that's left now is to paint the blast bags and apply some shading.

I couldn't wait. I wanted to paint tomorrow so I had to do some shading tonite. my girl says It looks like somthing that belongs on starwars.

Ok so im ready to prime. I'm just nervous I've never primed before, I never spayed anything other than tamiya acyrlic out of my airbrush. I dont even know how much thinner to mix in.
errr its late i will just do it tomorrow. Sorry guys.

Oliver is trying to figure out what color is best for blast bags white or black. Flory models build uses white.... I leave it up to you Oliver!
I matched all the barrells with the correct turrets.
now to glue the barrells on. Then plastic putty the holes.

I have finally hollowed out the last of the big blast bags. Heres a peek at how I did it.
All done, thats the shavings from just one blast bag.
and finally all 8
Now a trip to the hobby store for supplies. I think I should prime these big guns I just don't know which primer works good with airbrush as I have never primed. I use tamiya paint so tamiya primer would be a safe bet I suppose

So I broke my finger. So I haven't been able to do much lately. It's ironic that now have all this time off of work yet can't really work on the model with a broken finger.
i managed to get all the PE on the big gun turrets. Now to drill out all of those blast bags I guess.

I use these products (whith the brush) : "Tinted wax" (medium) finish (left) and clear (right).

Struggling with the gallery windows, getting the geometry right is proving to be extremely difficult, many discarded versions can be seen below
Added a few quarterdeck beams, amazing how it starts to look more like a boat when you add some bits
