  1. Tried making the louvers out of quartered cocktail sticks, not very successful I measured the louvers and they are 20mm wide the quarterd cocktail sticks are 1 1/4 mm so way out of scale. I have another idea up my sleeve let's see how that works.
  2. Hi all this is what I'm aiming for, it has a very unusuall way of loading cars (which i am ambitiously aiming to depict)
  3. More work done to this, that is the basic shape of the vehicle a few doors to add and lots of details to the bed to add.
  4. Thanks Mark its an interesting conversion.
  5. Yep you should see the real thing, there will be a surprise in the end if I manage to pull it off
  6. Sorry title is wrong should be 1/16
  7. Hi all this was donated to me by a friend(he was doing it as a van) I have other plans for it, it will be a very rare custom made version (the guys at work will know where I'm going with it as we have the actual vehicle in the workshop)
  8. Someone said the control box at the front spoilt the look a bit so I've painted it black and moved it behind the barrier.
  9. I should just mention the one draw back with this kit is the steering will never work as the clearance under the wheel arches only gives you about 19 degrees from lock to lock, still a minor detail in my mind (certainly not worth paying 200 more quid for)
  10. Hi most of the decals added, near the end now.
  11. Put the black edge round the many windows.
  12. Sorry title is wrong should be 1/24
  13. Hi all more work on this, I bought a tray to use as the base for it to sit on.
  14. Well the fibre optics arrived ahead of schedule so I tried them out, well pleased with the results got 2 more to add for the indicators but have to wait for the flasher circuit board.
  15. Nice build (and far more difficult at half the size of this one)
  16. Things will slow down on this for a while as I'm waiting for a flasher circuit board for the indicators, some fibre optics for the dashboard and some switches to operate all the lights, all due mid to late February. Anyway here is the next update on this awesome kit
  17. Took about 2 months toget here but well worth the wait.
  18. TBH I don't think its worth the difference in price (the meng kit is nearly 370 quid this was 68) and I see no real improvement on detail, the moulding in this kit is crisp and sharp, ok there is far too much chrome but a soak in bleach soon sorts that . Personally I would buy this kit then spend the 290 quid I saved on other models. More work on this one.
