Working up the oak display base prior to sanding,staing and clear coating.

Installed the dolphin striker and painted and stained the jibbom/bowsprit unit.Now I have to file down the white metal parts and drill out the cannon barrels.

Chaining up the windlass.

Mounted up the sidewheel covers.I had to have tge motor running when I cemented them to avoid binds.The aluminum braces really do stabilize them.

Fairing in the side wheel covers with sheet styrene and wood decking for that "built in "look.Very cool indeed!

Made a mold for the water closets

Okay!decided to reume.Began construction of the deck houses and fitted the stack.

Wow! That was a long lay-off! (Says the guy who hasn't worked on HMS Fly for like five or six years.)

 Further wirk done on the deck houses and ran the wires through the hull and display base with a plug in 4 AA battery power source with a built in on/off switch.

I got the deckhiyse painted and installed.

Getting the whistle ready.

The kit has nice white metal parts,especially the ladders,almost no clean up required.

Routed the poplar display base.(The hole is for the electrical plugs).

Installed the ladders to the wheel boxes and made platforms.Have to make handrails next.

Formed the handrails from wire and used the kit supplied stanchions.

I used parts from a Minicraft Titanic to make the skylights and ventilators for the deck house.I turned a plastic ring with my Dremel and made the stack ring to attach the chains.

Added more details aft as well as the Dahkgren guns.

Added the rudder and simulated the gudgeons and pentels.

USED A NICE PIECE OF CHERRY stained poplar covered with Polyacylic as a base.

I turned a piece of .80 styrene with my Dremel to fit the hole with a tight friction fit,.

Added the wheelhouse,wheel and pedestal for the binnacle.

I got the ships boats ready and painted.

Mounted the davitts and boats up.I will add more rigging for the boats later,

Started building the masts and installed the eyelets.

I installed the dead eyes and will tie up the ratlines soon.
