mtdoramike Posted June 23, 2020 Author #31 Posted June 23, 2020 I'm quite curious to see how much ballast will be required for her to float properly with all the extra weight from the deck house going upward. I did a float test on her for leaks before I installed the deck and put in about 8oz of lead weight midship and the stem of the boat at that time. Due to the roundness of the bottom of the hull, I'm sure it's going to take quite a bit more weight because with that shape, she will tend to roll a bit and be a bit pitchy.

I also found the original receipt in the box from the original owner. The kit came from Model Expo in 1998. So this is one of those kicked around kits hopping to get built. I will give it a little love and fulfill it's destiny.
