Hello shipbuilders,

I am new in this group and have admired the fantastic models being showed in this group.

I am in the process of making a model of a French cod fishing vessel. These sailing ships sailed around 1900-1920 from the coast of Bretagne  (Paimpol area) to the fishground around Iceland.  I make the model based on information available on the internet. The scale is approx. 1/60.

My question is the following: I am looking to the best practical way of making rigging blocks. Blocks will have to be around 2.5 – 3 mm height.  In the past I have made them from wood and thin steel wire.

I would appreciate if members can share their experience in making small sizes one-two sheaves blocks.

Many thanks in advance.

Bienvenue to MSW Piet de Mol.  You can do a search on blocks on the rigging forum.  There is a lot of information on blocks from various centuries and how to make them in the rigging forum.
