Well, help is not necessary anymore, you fixed it as smooth as possible.

Don't forget that the real period ships were also not so smooth ;).

Cheers,
Wim

Looks like you did a good job fixing up those open spots on the bow, its amazing what glue and sandpaper can do, my best friends in this hobby  :pirate41:

Your ship looks great, you must have an older kit, the newer kits have most of the metals parts replaced with wood, such as the grates and ladders.

Looks great, I have been trying to decide when I will install the rubbing strakes (before or after cutting the gunports) have you thought about it?

I cut the gunports which were the same level with bulwarks (exterior)... But after lining inside I will do the cut for a second time (interior)

Look at Vulcanbombers build log for her San Fran I, she built a new wooden rowboat because she did not like the metal one that came with the kit.

You boat is coming along great!, Wood filler and sandpaper will make all those trouble spots fade away, not to mention that many will be covered by other things yet to be attached to the hull.

I meant the gunports below the deck, the ones with the dummy doors.

I would suggest you PM Vulcanbomber, I am betting she could send you some sort of template.

hmm; I will install the rubbing strakes before the cuttings as I think in this way it will be more shapely...
