  1. this is one of the kits I wonder too... good luck, I will follow...
  2. Thanks Randy... I think my model became slightly different from the original; but I like the modifications... now I am thinking what to do next
  3. Now I am working on AL San Francisco and this is my first wooden ship built... I will post every steps and progress as always; thanks for the comments
  4. I thought that the stairs needed a special touch so I shaped two wooden pieces... then here comes the fun part
  5. it was very difficult to make an exact copy of the round ladder but it finished now and I will varnish them as soon as possible; then between the ladder I need two more doors which is the easy part for me anymore...
  6. I have been waiting for an answer for two months but nobody is helping; formerly this site was different and I am sad about it... I gave a break to my build log for a while but now I have to go on and finish it... I wish this time it would be more helpful for everyone...

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
