I've used metal lifeboat by kit Amati,

But I'd like to cover boat with false-leather cover (i've creased a piece of paper then paint it)

 

In your opinion is better light or dark brown color?

I think it would be a shame to cover up your boat detail, I know you are doing a "Dystopian" take on your build, but think most boat covers were painted canvas, so a "mucky" linen colour if you showing your Bounty as it would have looked long after the mutiny, unless the mutineers had replaced that with whale skins? 😅
